Armed robbery in West Odessa trailer park
The seventh robbery in a week was reported Tuesday by authorities who say they are unsure if the latest case is in relation to any of the prior ones.
An Ector County Sheriff’s Office news release stated a man entered a trailer around 10:10 a.m. Tuesday in the 9900 block of Westridge displaying a gun at the resident. There were no arrests made and no injuries reported, the release stated.
“We never rule out anything, and our investigators on this case have ‘compared notes,’ so to speak with OPD investigators,” Sgt. Gary Duesler said.
The suspect in Tuesday’s robbery is described as a 5 foot, 7 inch Hispanic male with short black hair and a scar on his forehead, the release stated. He was wearing a blue bandana, a long sleeve blue shirt and red sweat pants with a white stripe down the sides, the release stated.
On Monday, the Odessa Police Department stated they were investigating four of the robberies as possibly being committed by the same person, described as a tall, thin white male with a tattoo around his left eye.
