A boy who was hit by a truck Friday night remains in critical condition and has been identified as 14-year-old Pedro Olivas Jr. of Odessa.

Olivas and another boy were riding their bikes south on County Road West, a news release issued by Sgt. Tom Caldemeyer said.

According to Caldemeyer, Olivas was struck by a dark-colored dually pickup.

Cpl. Sherrie Carruth said there were no new leads Monday as to who hit the teen.

Olivas remains in critical condition at a Lubbock hospital, Caldemeyer said.

Anyone with information regarding the accident is asked to call the OPD at 333-3641 or CrimeStoppers at 333-8477.
