Shooting death

The Ector County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting, after a call came in at 1:23 a.m. today.
A release issued by Sgt. Gary Duesler said 20-year-old Rey Valdez was found with a gunshot wound to his upper arm in the 7300 block of Hughes Lane.
According to the sheriff's office, the bullet went through the arm and entered the chest cavity.
Valdez was transported to Medical Center Hospital where he later died.
An autopsy will be performed Saturday in Tarrant County.
