Odessa LINKS celebrated the release of its third annual service directory Wednesday afternoon with cookies and cake.
The directory provides a slew of nonprofit community resources available for those in need.
"It's to show people in need how to get assistance," Art Fuentes, Odessa LINKS president, said.
Fuentes, a lieutenant for the Odessa Police Department, said the directory is beneficial for the police department because if it needs to provide help to a resident, that residents can flip through the book themselves, or officers can just hand them a copy.
Reggie Baker, administrative pastor at Crossroads Fellowship, said he thinks all churches should have a stash of the directories on hand to provide the information for people seeking help.
"I think it's an invaluable service," Baker said. "It's good to have all of this information in one spot."
YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> The directory is free of charge.
>> The directory can be picked up by a number of providers. For list of providers call 582-0099.
