In remembrance of the deaths of police corporals Arlie Jones, Abel Marquez and Scott Gardner, the Permian Basin Poetry Society has put together an anthology called "Oil and Water."

The book has been dedicated to the Odessa Police Department's fallen officers, who were shot to death Sept. 8, 2007, in western Odessa.

A ceremony has been scheduled to present the book of poems to each officer's family and to the Odessa Police Department at 2 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Presidential Museum, 4919 E. University Blvd.
