More biz for Odessa

The Odessa Development Corp. is expected to consider an agreement today with an armory equipment manufacturer that is proposing to locate a facility in Odessa.

That facility could employ 107 workers within five year with a total annual labor salary of $1.1 million, according to Falcon International’s proposal.

Falcon International Inc. is headquartered in Huntsville, Ala.

According to the proposed economic development contract, the first year, the company would employ nine people with a payroll of $360,000. It’s projected the second year, the number of workers would increase to 25, and the annual payroll would go to $597,000.

The ODC will consider the contract at its 5 p.m. meeting on the third floor conference room at Odessa City Hall, 411 W. Eighth St.
