ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Austin

  • Daily: Moo week: students decorate a milk carton for judging; report card conferences are this week.
  • Monday through Thursday: 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m., orchestra.
  • Monday: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., magnet choir.
  • Tuesday: 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., MIDI guitar I; 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., soccer practice.
  • Wednesday: 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., MIDI guitar I; 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m., pre-kindergarten through kindergarten ballet.
  • Thursday: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., fall pictures; 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m., first through third grade dance rehearsal.
  • Friday: Spirit day, wear spirit shirt with uniform bottoms or $1 jean day pass; 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., Moo Day milk carton judging; report cards to be sent out today.


Blanton

  • Daily: 7:45 a.m., Blanton news team presented by Minerva Chavez’s third-grade class; “Just Say No” Week; “Who” program.
  • Monday: “Strike Out Drugs,” wear baseball or other team jersey.
  • Tuesday: “You Would Be Crazy To Do Drugs!” wear crazy hair, hats.
  • Wednesday: Fourth-grade field trip to the art museum; “Be Cool, Don’t Do Drugs,” wear sunglasses.
  • Thursday: “Follow your Dreams and Don’t Slip into Drugs,” wear pajamas and slippers.
  • Friday: Report cards go home; Accelerated Reading celebration, ‘Bean’Go; “Team Up Against Drugs,” wear your favorite team shirt or a Blanton shirt.


Burnet

  • Daily: Red Ribbon week; 7:40 a.m., breakfast and morning announcements.
  • Monday: Wear camouflage.
  • Tuesday: Wear crazy socks.
  • Wednesday: Wear clothes inside out.
  • Thursday: Wear red; Colt of the month.
  • Friday: Wear favorite team jersey.


Goliad

  • Monday: “Just Say No” Week – “Hats off to a Drug Free Future.”
  • Tuesday: 3:15 p.m., Good news club; Domino’s family pizza night for Goliad.
  • Wednesday: “Just Say No” “College Day,” hat and T-shirt to support favorite college or Alma Mater.
  • Friday: STAR classes for selected students; career fair for Goliad, Dress for Success (career dress-up day); Food to Kids.


Hays

  • Daily: 7:30 a.m., Morning assembly; Red Ribbon Week.
  • Monday: Crazy hat day.
  • Tuesday: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., family science night; red day and sign drug-free pledges.
  • Wednesday: 3 p.m., drug-free program; Domino’s Dough night; canned food drive and wear favorite house shoes.
  • Thursday: Crazy sock day.
  • Friday: Wear favorite jersey/team shirt; teacher of the week: Jamie Hoffman, third-grade teacher.


Ireland

  • Daily: 7:25 a.m., morning pledges.
  • Friday: School pride day, wear Ireland T-shirt; report cards go home with students.


LBJ

  • Daily: 7:30 a.m., Morning assembly in the gym.
  • Wednesday: 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., fifth and sixth grade “Sexting and Bullying” presentation in the cafeteria.
  • Thursday: LBJ Chick-Fil-A night.


Milam

  • Daily: 7:35 a.m., assembly; news team Delanna Thomas’s fifth-grade class; Red Ribbon Week.
  • Monday: AR recognition; “Red Day,” wear red for Red Ribbon Week; red out day.
  • Tuesday: 6 p.m., PTA/Title I meeting; hat day, wear your favorite hat; “hats off to drugs.”
  • Wednesday: Crazy socks day, “sock it to drugs.”

Murry

  • Tuesday: “Be all you can be drug free!” camouflage day; 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., open house.
  • Wednesday: “Give drugs the boot!” boots day.
  • Thursday: “Follow your dreams!” pajama day.
  • Friday: 7:45 a.m., tounding-up birthday students and staff; rounding-up Murry Fly Pride by wearing red, blue and white; “staying drug free shows great character!” favorite story book character.


Reagan

  • Wednesday: “Join the Fight Against Drugs,” wear camouflage; 9:15 a.m., singing chapel by Amanda Foresyth’s kindergarten class.
  • Thursday: “Don’t Flip For Drugs,” wear flip flops; retake school pictures; 9:15 a.m., classroom chapel.
  • Friday: “Show Your School Spirit-Drug Free,” wear school colors; 9:15 a.m., singing chapel by Linda Cash’s pre-kindergarten class.

  • Monday: Pajama pants day, both campuses.
