BURGLARY OF A HABITATION

>> An Odessa woman reported someone caused $100 in damage to a window, entered her home and took a TV and remote control worth a total of $1,820 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Hickory Avenue.

 

CREDIT CARD ABUSE

>> An Odessa woman reported someone used her gas card on May 14, 2005, at 7-Eleven, 2712 E. Eighth St.

 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

>> An Odessa man reported someone caused a total of $1,800 in damage to his 2004 Nissan Quest's panels and rear windshield between 4 p.m. Wednesday and 7:45 a.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of West 33rd Street.

 

DEBIT CARD ABUSE

>> An Odessa woman reported someone used her debit card between Jan. 12 and Jan. 29 at several places in Odessa.

 

FORGERY

>> An Odessa woman reported someone cashed a $267.20 check that was made out to her between Oct. 30, 2008, and Nov. 7, 2008, at Personal Credit Plan, 2610 N. Grandview Ave.

>> A 50-year-old McCamey man was arrested and charged with forgery of a financial instrument at 4:16 p.m. Thursday after Albertsons, 1350 E. Eighth St., reported that he tried to cash a counterfeit money order.

Ramon Ybarra, 519 Crockett St. was being held Friday at the Ector County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.

 

FRAUDULENT USE OF IDENTIFYING INFORMATION

>> An Odessa man from the 900 block of Lindberg Street reported someone used his ID in 2008 from an unknown location.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

>> A 32-year-old Odessa woman was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of West Odessa Street.

Lashandra Johnson, 103 W. Odessa St., was being held Friday at the Ector County Detention Center on bonds totaling $51,000.

 

TAMPERING OR MANUFACTURING EVIDENCE WITH INTENT TO IMPAIR

>> A 24-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with tampering or fabricating evidence with intent to impair at 8:32 p.m. Thursday in the 3800 block of Penbrook Street after police reported that he threw off his clothes and wrapped a handgun in them to conceal his identity in connection to a disturbance reported at 8 p.m. at 7-Eleven, 4100 E. 52nd St.

Juan Avila, 3965 Benbrook St., was being held Friday at the Ector County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond.
