The following is a list of felony criminal activities reported to the police.

Numbered addresses of locations where crimes occur are rounded to the nearest hundred block.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON

>> An Odessa man was taken to Medical Center Hospital with cuts on his forehead, left side of his face and scratches on both knees after he was assaulted with an unspecified weapon between 11 p.m. and 11:07 p.m. Tuesday in the 2500 block of Roger Avenue. The man was in stable condition Wednesday.

 

AGGRAVATED ROBBERY

>> An Odessa woman reported an unidentified man brandished a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of property from her between 10:30 p.m. and 10:34 p.m. Tuesday at a Shell gas station, 2001 N. West County Road.

 

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION

>> A Midland woman reported someone entered her Odessa property and took a sky-blue shower curtain worth $50 at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 3900 block of Tanglewood Lane.

 

FORGERY

>> An Odessa woman reported someone passed a fraudulent check to her on Nov. 5 in the 800 block of East 23rd Street.

>> El Huracan Night Club, 627 W. Clements St., reported someone bought drinks and services with counterfeit money between 6:30 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Sunday.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

>> A 31-year-old transient man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance between 9:53 p.m. and 10:03 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of Drury Lane.

Bail information for Samuel Amaya Garcia was not available by press time.

 

THEFT

>> An Odessa woman reported a known person took 100 pieces of china, eight crystals, 90 porcelain angels and owls, a box of miscellaneous Christmas items and an electric ice cream machine worth $1,525 from her between 1 p.m. Sept. 1 and 9 a.m. Sept. 15 in the 900 block of East Fourth Street.

>> A doctor at Permian Podiatry, 701 Washington Ave., reported a known person took a $1,596.80 check from the business on July 30, 2006.

 

THEFT OF A FIREARM

>> An Odessa woman reported someone entered her SUV and took two rifles and two rifle cases worth $3,080 between midnight and 4 a.m. Wednesday in the 5000 block of Pepperidge Place.
