AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

>> A 53-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault after his wife and daughter reported he threatened both of them with a knife and tried to stab one of them at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of West 25th Street.

Valentino Hernandez, 801 W. 25th, was being held at the Ector County Detention Center Wednesday on bonds totaling $100,000.

 

BURGLARY OF A BUILDING

>> An Odessa man reported someone damaged a $20 door lock to enter his storage building and take a lawn mower and welder worth $725 between Nov. 12 and Saturday in the 900 block of East 21st Street.

 

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION

>> An Odessa woman reported multiple people entered her home and assaulted her, scratching her arm, neck and face at 6:08 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Santa Rosa Avenue.

>> An Odessa woman reported someone caused $450 in damage to her car's window and her home's kitchen door, then entered her home and took a game system, three video games and a DVD player worth $550 between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of Blackstone Avenue.

>> A witness reported someone entering an Odessa woman's garage and leaving with an electric saw of an undetermined value at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of South Jackson Avenue.

 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE

>> An Odessa man reported someone entered his car and took a wedding ring, a military ring, a silver bracelet, an MP3 player and two CD cases worth $3,975 between 10:45 p.m. Monday and 5:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 3800 block of Penbrook Street.

 

CREDIT CARD ABUSE

>> Midland-based Caribbean Evaporation & Pump reported someone used a fuel card between 5:09 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. Sept. 21 at a Chevron gas station, 5201 E. 42nd St.

 

CRIMINAL MISCHEIF

>> Someone flooded an apartment building at Briarwood Village, 3904 Englewood Lane, causing $30,000 in damage to the floors and ceilings of six apartments between 6 p.m. Nov. 6 and 8 a.m. Nov. 7.

 

DEADLY CONDUCT

>> An Odessa woman reported a known person engaged in conduct that put her in danger between 1 p.m. and 1:21 p.m. Nov. 8 in the 900 block of South Dixie Boulevard.

 

FORGERY

>> An Odessa woman reported a known person passed a counterfeit check at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ace Cash Express, 1305 E. Eighth St.

>> An Odessa man reported a person known to him stole his checks and signed them between 8:51 p.m. Nov. 11 and 7:40 p.m. Nov. 12 at an N-N-Out convenience store, 3226 W. 10th St.

>> Fast Cash Check Service, 1314 N. West County Road, reported a known person cashed a forged check worth $100 at 4 p.m. July 22.

 

INJURY TO THE ELDERLY

>> An Odessa woman reported a person known to her slapped her with his hand, busting her lip at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Seminole Street.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

>> A 20-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 3:29 p.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of North Washington Avenue.

Russell Nickens, 1302 N. Washington Ave., was being held at the Ector County Detention Center Wednesday on bonds totaling $26,000.

 

THEFT

>> Shout Cheerleading, 2923 E. Highway 80, reported someone took a $20 wallet containing $5,000 in cash and assorted credit cards from an office desk between 7:45 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. Tuesday.

 

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE

>> An Odessa woman reported someone took her green 2001 Pontiac Grand Am, of an undetermined value, between 8 p.m. Nov. 13 and midnight Friday from the Crossroads parking lot, 2802 N. West County Road.

>> First Basin Credit Union, 2740 N. West County Road, reported someone took a black 2004 American Iron Horse motorcycle worth $16,000 from its parking lot between Nov. 13 and Friday.

>> An Odessa man reported someone took his 1994 Chevrolet pickup, of an undetermined value, between 9:30 a.m. and 11:57 a.m. Friday from the Sears parking lot, 4101 E. 42nd St.

>> An Odessa woman reported someone took her red 2001 Dodge Neon worth $3,000 between 10:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Sunday from the 800 block of West 25th Street.

>> An Odessa man reported someone took his 1999 Chevrolet pickup worth $12,000 after he left his keys in the ignition at 9:46 p.m. Sunday from a 7-Eleven parking lot, 1523 Harless Ave.
