The following is a list of felony criminal activities reported to the police.

Numbered addresses of locations where crimes occur are rounded to the nearest hundred block.

 

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

>> A Sweetwater man reported he was taken to the Medical Center Hospital in fair condition after someone known to him stabbed him with a kitchen knife between 3 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. Sunday at the Sahara Motel, 1423 E. Second St.

 

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION

>> An Odessa man reported someone entered his home and took a golf club set worth $2,500 between 9 p.m. Monday and 6:45 a.m. Tuesday in the unit block of Sunnygrove Drive.

>> An Odessa man reported someone he knew entered his home and assaulted him, causing minor injuries between 7:15 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 7000 block of Robbie Road.

 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE

>> An employee of Odessa-based Superior Optimization reported someone took a welder, generator, volt meter and tool bars worth $2,600 from a company-owned Ford F-350 between 10 p.m. Monday and 5:10 a.m. Tuesday in the 8800 block of Rice Road.

 

DEADLY CONDUCT

>> An Odessa man reported multiple people he knew fired a gun inside his front lawn between 7:20 p.m. and 7:26 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of East 36th Street.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

>> A 30-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday at his home, 501 E. 55th St.

Jason Lester Franklin was free from the Ector County Detention Center Tuesday after posting bonds totaling $17,500.

>> A 29-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance at 10:59 a.m. Tuesday in the 2700 block of North Muskingum Avenue.

Christopher Daniel Chavez, 808 Gulf Ave., was being held at the Ector County Detention Center Tuesday on bonds totaling $52,500.

 

POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE

>> A 34-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine between 9:25 a.m. and 10:07 a.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of North Lee Avenue.

Michael Deen Palmour, 7124 W. Blair Drive, was being held at the Ector County Detention Center on bonds totaling $37,500.
