Three nurses from the Permian Basin

Three nurses from the Permian Basin joined nurses from the Texas Nurses Association for ‘Nurse Day at the Capitol’ in Austin on March 8th. Discussing issues surrounding nurse advocacy protection, advanced practice nurse prescriptive authority and nursing education funding, nurses statewide were welcomed to representatives’ and senators’ offices for meetings and honored in both the house and Senate chambers.  Pictured from left are Rebekah Powers, MSN, RN-BC (educator at Midland Memorial Hospital), Megan Foradori, RN, MSN (research coordinator for the Henry M.
