ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Blanton

  • Daily: 7:45 a.m., Blanton news team presented by Jami Roberts’ third-grade class; canned food drive for West Texas Food Bank continues.
  • Friday: Last day for canned food drive; Blanton spirit day. Wear blue and orange.


Burleson

  • Daily: 7:30 a.m., pledges, birthday and morning announcements in the cafeteria for all student and faculty members.
  • Wednesday: Fundraiser is coming in.
  • Thursday: 7:30 a.m., Carrie Bronaugh, Permian Basin Regional Council on alcohol and drug abuse, will be here to speak to the students on the dangers of tobacco abuse; Burleson Elementary “Ties Away All Tobacco Products!,” students and faculty members wear a tie to school.
  • Friday: Food 2 Kids.


Burnet

  • Daily: 7:40 a.m., breakfast and morning announcements.
  • Wednesday and Thursday: Vision and hearing screening.
  • Thursday: Colt of the month.


Dowling

  • Tuesday: 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., Junior Master Garden Club.
  • Friday: Dowling Tiger pride day. Wear your Dowling shirt.


Goliad

  • Tuesday: 3:15 p.m., good news club.
  • Thursday: Picture retakes.
  • Friday: STAR classes for selected students.


Hays

  • Daily: 7:30 a.m., morning assembly; teacher of the week: Lauren Fowler, second-grade teacher.
  • Monday through Wednesday: Book fair.
  • Tuesday: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., family reading night.
  • Thursday: 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., coffee with the counselor.


Ireland

  • Daily: 7:25 a.m., morning assembly with pledges.
  • Wednesday: Thanksgiving lunch.
  • Friday: Ireland spirit day, wear your Ireland shirt.


Milam

  • Daily: 7:35 a.m., assembly; news team, Lucy Ramirez’s fourth-grade class.
  • Monday: AR recognition.
  • Friday: College spirit day. Wear your favorite college shirt and colors.


Murry Fly

  • Daily: 7:40 a.m., assembly leaders will be Memory White’s fourth-grade class; student-led conferences begin, grade-level teachers will be sending home more information.
  • Monday: 8:30 a.m., awards assembly for kindergarten in the gym.
  • Tuesday: 8:30 a.m., awards assembly for first and second grade in the gym.
  • Wednesday: 8:30 a.m., awards assembly for third and fourth grade in the gym.
  • Thursday: Tickets on sale for Crime Stoppers hat day.
  • Friday: 8:30 a.m., awards assembly for fifth and sixth grade in the gym; wear hats for Crime Stoppers with paid ticket.


Reagan

  • Daily: 7:40 a.m., all-star news; teacher of the week: Angela Mints, fourth-grade teacher.
  • Monday: Progress reports go home.
  • Wednesday: 3 p.m., “Just Say No”; PTA Domino’s Dough night.
  • Friday: Reagan pride day. Wear your all-star Reagan wear.


Travis

  • Daily: 7:50 a.m., Kidz news; teacher of the month: Roby Walters, fifth-grade teacher.
  • Tuesday: 6 p.m., PTA program featuring fifth grade.
  • Friday: 9 a.m., Third-grade first annual storytelling festival in the cafeteria; Travis pride day.


Zavala

  • Daily: 7:35 a.m., morning announcements and pledges; Junior Student Crime Stoppers fundraiser.
  • Tuesday: 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Zavala child care center open house.
  • Wednesday: Sixth-grade field trip to the Globe Theatre.
  • Thursday: 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Parent involvement night.
  • Friday: Junior Student Crime Stoppers fundraiser ends; PTA pickle sales.

 


HIGH SCHOOLS

Odessa High

  • Monday: Girls’ junior varsity Golf Midland Invitational in Midland at Hogan Park.
  • Tuesday: 4 p.m., girls’ ninth-grade junior varsity  and varsity basketball vs. Big Spring in Big Spring; 4:30 p.m., boys’ white and red team basketball vs. Lubbock Trinity at OHS; 6 p.m., boys’ junior varsity and varsity basketball vs. Lubbock Trinity at OHS.
  • Thursday: Boys’ and girls’ swim team Amarillo Double Double at Pete Ragus; girls’ ninth-grade and junior varsity basketball vs. Lakeveiw in Lakeview; golf junior varsity, red, and white at Ratliff; 5 p.m., meet the Bronchos OHS boys’ basketball.
  • Friday: 6 p.m., Girls’ varsity basketball vs. Seminole at OHS.
  • Saturday: Girls’ ninth-grade and junior varsity basketball vs. Lakeview in Lakeview.


Permian High

  • Daily: 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Panther den open; MOJO cards available to support new sound system.
  • Thursday and Friday: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Jostens graduation material order in the cafeteria foyer.

  • Monday: 9:15 a.m., singing chapel by Amanda Foresyth’s kindergarten class.
  • Tuesday: 9:15 a.m., singing chapel by Linda Cash’s pre-kindergarten class; 1:30 p.m., basketball and cheerleading pictures; 3 p.m., pep rally; 5:30 p.m., basketball game at St. Mary’s.
  • Wednesday: 9:15 a.m., Singing chapel by Dianna Dobbs’ pre-kindergarten class.
  • Thursday: 9:15 a.m., Classroom chapel; 3 p.m., pep rally; 5:30 p.m., basketball game at Midland Hillander.
  • Friday: Patriot day; 9:15 a.m., Thanksgiving chapel by Beverley Green’s pre-school, Linda Cash’s pre-kindergarten and Dianna Dobbs’ pre-kindergarten classes.


Richard Milburn Academy
