Noel’s Advanced Science and Arithmetic (N.A.S.A.) team competed at the South Plains Math and Science Competition Nov. 14 at Texas Tech in Lubbock. The competition included teams from all over the state of Texas.

This year’s team had 18 members that made the trip, including two seventh-grade members from Crockett and Ector. The students competed in math and science events and then were divided into random teams for the engineering competition. Three students were on engineering teams that won medals. Sixth-grader Kristopher Arnold won a bronze third place medal. Katie Lynskey, from Crockett, won a silver second place medal and Lee Ann Porras won a gold first place medal. Ector County can be proud of the hard work and the leadership that these students exhibited.
