Noel shelters in place
Noel Elementary School sheltered in place for more than an hour today as local law enforcement officers searched the neighborhood near the school for burglary suspects, a release issued by ECISD director communications Mike Adkins said.
The campus was secured by ECISD police officers who were already there teaching the Gang Resistance Education and Training program.
The shelter in place ended at 1:00 p.m., Adkins said.
“Shelter in Place” means the school’s exterior doors are locked and monitored and no one is allowed in or out of the building. Inside, school goes on as usual.
