Send veterans to D.C.

A special edition of Odessa's Brand New Opree will raise money Saturday for the World War II Freedom Fighters.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Globe Theatre, 2308 Shakespeare Road, and tickets are $10 each.
Event proceeds will go toward the organization's goal of $120,000 to send 117 veterans from the Permian Basin to the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. The first trip is planned for May 3 and the veterans will travel free of charge.
