National Guard units are nearly complete with repairs to roads in the Big Bend National Park.

According to the National Park Service, the road repairs are part of a cooperative effort between the Park, the National Guard and the U.S. Border Patrol. Park officials hope the road repair will allow visitor’s easier access and travel on River Road. Eroded sections near the road have caused frequent closures, according to the parks service.
