Odessa man killed in crash
Comments 0 | Recommend 0MIDLAND COUNTY An Odessa man died in a two-vehicle accident Monday morning that injured three others.
Barry Glenn Cole, a 55-year-old truck driver, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that happened at 6:38 a.m. on FM 1788, about one mile south of Highway 191. Cole was in the backseat and was not wearing a seatbelt, a Department of Public Safety report said.
Cole, 49-year-old driver Dora Jo Motloch and James Motloch, all of Odessa, were traveling north on FM 1788 in a 1994 Cadillac. The Cadillac slowed in the left lane to make a left turn when a 2000 Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by 32-year-old Johnny Rafael Marmolejo, failed to slow down and collided with the Cadillac from the rear, the report said.
Midland resident Marmolejo was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt. James Motloch and Dora Jo Motloch were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
