One dead after accident on Highway 191
MIDLAND A 36-year-old Midland man is dead after an accident Sunday evening on Highway 191 after, officials said, a vehicle collided with his scooter and then took off.
Ronnie Tiller was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival after Midland police and emergency personnel responded to the accident, according to a news release.
Around 10:16 p.m., Tiller was eastbound on 191 in front of Mid-Cities Community Church when an unknown vehicle collided with the back of the scooter and took off, the release stated.
Midland Public Information Coordinator Tasa Watts said police don’t have a description of the vehicle and are asking the public for information.
“If anyone knows anything, even it’s a little bit of information … we encourage them to call Midland police or Midland Crime Stoppers,” Watts said.
