MIDLAND A rollover on the Loop 250 service road just south of Anetta Drive claimed the life of a Midland teenager and injured two people early Sunday morning, a release from public information officer Tina Jauz said.
Ariel Corley, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene after a 2005 blue Toyota Rav4 was traveling north on Loop 250 when it veered off the road onto the east shoulder and hit a concrete culver causing the vehicle to roll several times, the release said.
The vehicle stopped rolling on its top and caught fire. The release said investigators believe the gas tank was damaged when the vehicle hit the concrete area.
Emily Thon, 18, and William Robert Hale, 28, was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital.
Thon is listed in serious condition. Hale was treated and released.
The release said that Hale was arrested on six unrelated warrants.
It is unknown who was driving the vehicle.
