Midland Police have arrested a man in connection with an aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Antonio Valenzuela, a 34-year-old Midland man, was arrested Monday. He is charged with aggravated sexual assault against a child. According to police, the assault occurred in December at a residence in Midland. The victim, a young female, and suspect are known to each other, a news release said.

Valenzuela was being held Tuesday in the Midland County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
