27th Annual Texas Leadership Forum Scheduled
The John Ben Shepperd Leadership Institute has provided Texans with an education for and about leadership, ethics and public service through its annual Texas Leadership Forum. Aimed at young professionals, this year’s event is February 2-4, 2012 at the Austin, TX Capitol Complex. An added benefit will be a “behind the scenes” tour of the Capitol Building.
The Forum will feature as keynote speaker, Joanne King Herring. The international socialite, global political activist and former television anchor was portrayed by Julia Roberts in the movie “Charlie Wilson’s War.”
Forum participants will be able to choose from more than 20 individualized leadership training sessions, hear leading authorities discuss today’s leadership challenges, put their training to the test in breakout sessions, explore and learn practical leadership skills and network with members of the Legislature as well as authorities in issues facing Texas, such as health, education, and water.
