Changes on Highway 191

In the interest of safety, the Texas Department of Transportation is making a change on the Highway 191 frontage roads at the intersection with FM 1788.
The left, inside lanes will now be left turn only. This means all traffic on the left, inside lanes will be required to turn left. Drivers in the right outside lanes also have the option of turning left or going straight. This means motorists in both lanes can turn left. It also means that the right, outside lanes will be the only lanes used for through traffic.
Traffic back up on frontage roads to the off ramps of Highway 191 during peak travel times are the reason for the changes.
