DPS: Man killed in Monahans accident

WARD COUNTY A 20-year-old Monahans man died Saturday morning after his vehicle went through an intersection and crashed.
A Department of Public Safety preliminary report by trooper Daniel Leyva stated 20-year-old Dusten Wayne Jones was driving his 2008 Chevrolet Aveo west on FM 1233 when he kept going straight where the road ends at Highway 18 and went into a guardrail and cinderblock at about 2:37 a.m.
Jones was transported from the accident, about 2.1 miles south of Monahans, to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, where he died at 7:06 a.m., the report stated.
The report stated Jones wasn’t wearing a seatbelt in the accident.
