The Odessa Jackalopes do all sorts of good deeds.
The Odessa Jackalopes and the University of Texas of the Permian Basin combined to organize the inaugural Falcons Fly event that consisted of the One Mile SlapJack Sprint and 5K Jackalopes Jog Feb. 27 at UTPB. More than 100 participated. Proceeds from the event benefited the UTPB Cross Country Scholarship Fund.
The Jackalopes had their annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life Night during the game against Amarillo Feb. 27. Shown dropping the ceremonial first puck is James ‘PeeWee’ Young, a 5-year prostate cancer survivor.
