MILITARY ROLL OF HONOR

>> Air Force Airman Travis W. Bates has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Bates is the son of Bonnie Bates and Gregory Bates, both of Odessa. He is a 2006 graduate Permian High School.

>> Army Pfc. Tyler G. Tidwell has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. Tidwell is the son of Teresa Ballard of Odessa and a 2003 graduate of Midland High School.

>> Army Pvt. Jarid R. Shatley has graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The training consists of Basic Infantry Training and Advanced Individual Training. He is the son of Tracey and stepson of Bill Nyborg of Odessa and a 2006 graduate of Permian High School.

>> Army Pvt. Lee A. Setchfield has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Cindy Sullivan of Odessa and a 2007 graduate of the Career Center.

>> Coast Guard Seaman Martin M. Tamar, son of Olga V. Reyes of Kyle and Kyron C. Tamar of Odessa, recently graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N.J. He is a 2003 graduate of San Marcos Baptist Academy of San Marcos.
