He is the son of Criselda Nabarrette of Odessa and a 2009 graduate of Odessa High School.

>> Army Pvt. Jesus R. Mendoza has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
He is the son of Josephina Santos of Odessa. He is a May graduate of Odessa High School.

>> Navy Seaman John D. Bright, son of Tracey W. Scown and Dennis R. Bright, all of Odessa, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
He is a 2009 graduate of Odessa High School.

>> Navy Seaman Apprentice Cedric N. Irby, son of Gwen R. Irby of Odessa, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2009 graduate of Permian High School.
