Commissioners to vote on airport hangar furnishing

As construction of new runways and hangers continues at Odessa-Schlemeyer Field, Ector County Commissioners will discuss rent abatement on one of the hangars in exchange for its furnishing.

Ector County Judge Susan Redford said FarMor Aviation Inc. was asking for the county to waive rent for one year and in return, would furnish the new fixed-base operator building.

The groundbreaking at the airport for the new terminals started in October and the project is mostly funded through grants from the Texas Department of Transportation’s Aviation division.



Introduce Jeff Floyd as the new County Extension Agent Horticulturist for Ector and Midland County.

Proclaim Monday through Friday as “National Police Week” and Monday as “Peace Officer’s Memorial Day” in Ector County.

Discuss a resolution declaring Prevarian AL Odessa, LP a reinvestment zone for purposes of economic development.

Discuss a resolution authorizing Daniel Ray to represent Ector County in cases in of violations of the Texas Water Code.

Approve a resolution accepting a restitution payment of $1,673.98 from Texas General Agency, inc. on behalf of S&K Metals into Ector County’s general fund for the Environmental Enforcement Department.

Discuss a resolution for the County Road Repair program.

Discuss a resolution for mentally ill prisoners.

Discuss the sign shop and streets and highways to prepare and construct a foundation for a historical marker to be located at Chimney Rock.

Discuss the financial sponsorship from Ector County to the Ector County Health Department to host the sixth Annual Tri-County Texas Vaccines for Children Provider Conference on June 26 being held at the Texas Tech Auditorium.

Discuss the Fastenal Automated Supply Technology Solutions System.

Discuss a request to travel to Charleston, S.C., in July.

Discuss a formal termination of the awarded company for toilet paper and paper towel and re-award to the next lowest bidder.

Discuss an inter-local agreement with the City of Odessa for the 2012 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant program award.

Discuss a tax abatement from Prevarian AL Odessa, LP.

Discuss a contract between Ector County and Justice Benefits, Inc.

Discuss the Ector County Health Department to be a training site for the Experience Works Senior Community Service Employment Program.

Discuss the renewal of the memorandum of Agreement between the Texas Department of State Health Services and the Ector County Health Department.

Discuss selling the property at 2121 W. Second St., for $22,000.

Discuss compensation for the district clerk of a $100 cash shortage.

Discuss the revision of the 2011-2012 fiscal year public health emergency preparedness CDC funding budget.
