Accident victim's name released

Police released the name of the motorcyclist who was killed Saturday evening at Highway 385 and Crane Avenue.

Odessa resident David Alor-Granados, 20, was killed after his red 2007 Kawasaki Ninja collided with a 1996 Ford Explorer driven by Pilar Aldaz Alvarado, a 27-year-old from Odessa.

Alvarado was accused by police of trying to flee the scene of the accident and was arrested that evening. He was charged with manslaughter and failing to stop and render aid, and remained at the Ector County Detention Center Tuesday on bonds totaling $40,000.
