The Ector County Independent School District’s counselors will be having a college Wednesday night for students and parents at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.

College night is open to all students and parents in ECISD interested in learning more about life after high school. There will be information on admissions requirements, degrees, tuition and more about community colleges, universities or vocational schools.

The evening will also include an informational session, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., where students and parents can learn more about financial aid and scholarships. The entire session will last from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at UTPB. The information at the event will be available in English and Spanish.

Students will also have the opportunity to learn about a new initiative developed through the state where students can register online for information about colleges, tuition and more. Students are encouraged to register on the site prior to attending the fair: www.gotocollegefairs.com/texas.
