Drip irrigation

Permian Basin Master Gardener Emmy Ulmschnieder talks about the equipment needed to constructs a drip irrigation system for home gardens Thursday evening during an Agri-Life Extension Service class at the Commemorative Air Force in Midland. The advantage of a drip system over a conventional sprinkler system is that drip irrigation delivers water slowly on or below the surface of the soil. This minimizes water loss due to runoff, wind and evaporation.
