Two people were arrested and accused of possessing approximately 511 grams of cocaine, Odessa Police Cpl. Sherrie Carruth said.
Jason Lynn Deese, 31, and Kendra Nicole Jones, 19, were both arrested and charged with a first-degree felony count of possession of a controlled substance greater than 200 grams. First-degree felonies carry a punishment of between five and 99 years in prison if there is a conviction.
According to a police report, Deese and Jones were searched at 8:18 p.m. at the 1500 block of East 21st Street.
Jones was being held Tuesday on a $100,000 bond at the Ector County Detention Center. Deese, who was also charged with a parole violation, was being held without bond.
