Odessans woke up to a blanket of snow this morning, but with the beauty comes the danger.

Texas Department of Transportation public information officer Glen Larum sent a release stating that drivers can expect snow to pack on most roadways as traffic volumes increase this morning.

TxDOT crews worked overnight to treat bridges and overpasses along major highway corridors.

Accidents have been reported on Interstate 20 just west of East Loop 338 in Odessa.

The Odessa Police Department has re-opened the roadways at Second Street and Grant Avenue and Second Street and West County Road.

The city of Odessa gets all this money and we can't even get a truck out here to SALT the roads so we are safe?? Mayor, what's wrong with this picture???!

Couple tanker loads of brine and a couple trucks of sand could have done the job...but where in the world would we find brine water and sand in West Texas...I guess the City Council will have to have a lunch meeting at a high dollar restaurant to figure that one out...don't worry about the cost Mayor Melton...nothing is too good for our City Council...

They are spending that money on ..Sherwood Park, Christmas lights for parks and the electricity to run them,,,new golf carts.What are they spending money on that is NOT a waste?
