High winds rolled Wednesday afternoon through parts of Odessa causing damage to properties like a well house roof and a trampoline, the National Weather Service reported.

NWS meteorologist Christopher Daniels said high winds 14 miles south of Odessa were recorded about 3:55 p.m.

Daniels said the storm was nearing Imperial, south of Interstate 20, about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Crane and Grandfalls received winds between 50 and 60 mph from the outflow of the storm until 5 p.m.

A Crane County communications operator said about 9 p.m. Wednesday that the storm "went around" the county and no damages were reported. In Ward County, a communications operator said a few residents called in with reports of power outages in Monahans as of 9 p.m. Wednesday.

But that outflow was heading to Imperial and could reach Fort Stockton later in the evening, Daniels said.

"We're keeping an eye on that," Daniels said.
