An out-of-town man was found dead in his tractor-trailer Monday afternoon at the Love’s Travel Stop at West County Road and Interstate 20. Police said he died of natural causes.
Sgt. Carey Sampson with the Odessa Police Department said the man, who was in his late 50s, was discovered after dispatchers with the truck company attempted to contact him but couldn’t.
Sampson said the death does not seem to be a result of foul play, but the department could not release the man’s name because his next of kin have not been notified.
The man died recently, Sampson said, parked in the truck parking lot at 1901 W. Interstate 20. Police received the call at about 4 p.m. Monday.
