Cowan in Odessa

Congressional Candidate Al Cowan will speak to the public at 10:30 a.m. today in Odessa.

Cowan is running against Congressman Mike Conaway and San Angelo businessman Chris Younts in the Republican primary for the 11th District seat.

Cowan is scheduled to speak at the Ector County Republican Party Headquarters, 707 Jefferson Ave.

Cowan is from Sunrise Beach in Llano County.

Conaway did not face a challenger in the 2008 primary and only a Libertarian candidate in the general election.

Monahans teacher James Quillian has filed to run as a Democrat.
