Robbery suspect out on bond

A 23-year-old woman sought in connection with the robbery of a tobacco shop was released Friday from the Ector County Detention Center after posting bonds totaling $25,500.

Angelique Vasquez, who was a former employee at the Smoker's Outlet at 2604 N. Grandview Ave., went with her attorney and turned herself in at the Ector County Detention Center after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Vasquez was charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony.

Two other Smoker's Outlets were robbed since then, including one Dec. 11 at 4098 W. University Blvd. and one Dec. 9 at 2718 N. Dixie Blvd. Ector County sheriff's deputies and OPD officers have no suspects on either of these two robberies.
