Coach charged in roundup
MONAHANS A Monahans High coach was out on bond Friday night after being arrested in connection with Internet child pornography charges.
According to sheriff's reports, the Ward County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant issued by the Magistrate Court of Collin County. Deputies confiscated several computers that were taken as evidence, the report said.
David Parker, 37, was taken to the Ward County Jail and was charged with "online solicitation of a minor-sexually explicit conversation," a third-degree felony, sheriff's reports said. Parker was released Friday on a $15,000 bond.
Ward County Sheriff Mikel Strickland said he wasn't certain why Collin County had a warrant out for Parker's arrest.
Efforts to reach a representative of the Collin County Sheriff's Office were not successful Friday.
