A case of the H1N1 virus has been confirmed in Ector County and Pecos County Wednesday, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services' Web page.
A total of 2,050 suspected and confirmed infections with the virus, better known as the swine flu, have been diagnosed since the widely reported outbreak began in April. Wednesday's cases bring the total cases for the Permian Basin to three, including a case in Andrews County confirmed last month.
