WCS files ethics complaint
Comments 0 | Recommend 0ANDREWS Waste Control Specialists filed a complaint Thursday with the Texas Ethics Commission against No Bonds for Billionaires and Karen Hadden of the Austin-based Sustainable Energy and Economic Development (SEED) Coalition.
The complaint alleges the group accepted campaign contributions without first identifying a campaign treasurer, according to a news release from the company.
WCS accused No Bonds for Billionaires of trying to conceal its connections to SEED during its advertising campaign against allowing the Andrews County commissioners to grant a bond for the waste site's upgrades.
The ethics complaint comes three days after WCS filed a lawsuit against Save the Ogallala Aquifer president Adam Greenwood on allegations of making "false and disparaging" statements against the company through the organization's website and through the media.
