GFWC Woman's Club of Alpine donation

Alpine Fire Department Capt. Craig Spencer was a recent guest at the GFWC Woman's Club of Alpine April meeting. Spencer gave a brief account of AFD mission and the many challenges that AFD faces with their limited resources and volunteers. In line with the General Federation of Women's Clubs' efforts in their support of fire departments locally and nationally, all GFWC clubs members raised funds after the 9/11 attack in New York and donated a brand new fully equipped ambulance for use by the New York Fire Department. Club President Mary Vongsavath presents Spencer a check collected by the club's rice and bean fund-raiser.
