Flu vaccination

All children attending ECISD schools may still receive flu vaccine through the district, and a special clinic will be held for all local children as well.

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will host a flu mist clinic from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of Medical Center Hospital, 500 W. Fourth St. The clinic is walk-in only and open to all children.

In order to receive a live mist vaccine (nasal spray), individuals must meet the following criteria:

>> Age 2 to 18, in good health.

>> No chronic health issues, such as asthma or diabetes.

>> No allergies to fish and eggs.

>> No pregnant women in household.

>> No history of frequent medications for bronchitis, bronchiolitis or pneumonia.
