Saturday: 10 a.m. to noon, Christmas brunch. Staff and volunteers will be recognized. Bring a breakfast item to share.

Sunday: 10:30 a.m., Celebrating the third Sunday of Advent with the annual Christmas cantata.

Dec. 23: 10:30 a.m., Celebrating the fourth Sunday of Advent “The Peace of Jesus.”

Dec. 24: 6 p.m. and 10 p.m., Christmas Eve worship service “The Presentation of Jesus.”

>> MIDLAND Iva Boze and Spiritual Forces Community Choir will perform in their annual Christmas concert at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Martin Luther King Performing Arts Auditorium, 2300 Butternut Lane.

Audience is asked to bring items to be donated to Safe Place, such as laundry soap, hand towels, non-perishable foods, baby wipes, lotion and deodorant.

>> The First Baptist Church music and worship ministry has scheduled “Permian Basin Christmas Celebration” at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Ector County Coliseum, 4201 Andrews Hwy.

Theme is “Imagine A World Without Christmas.”

The FBC Student Choir and Chancel Choir will begin the presentation by performing songs of the season.

>> Asbury United Methodist Church has scheduled prayer, talk and fellowship for P.I.P. (People in Pain) from noon to 1:30 p.m. each first and third Wednesday of each month at the church, 4001 E. University Blvd.

Prayer will be for all denominations. Talk and discussions will be about topics to make life brighter and fuller, and to make the path through all kinds of pain easier and more hopeful.

Anyone needing to get back to work can start eating whatever time needed during the discussion.

>> Faith Temple Fellowship is taking donations to feed the homeless from noon to 1 p.m. each Saturday at the church, 1335 E. Sixth St.

Suggested donations are old or new coats, blankets, sleeping bags, clothing, cots, tarps, tents and all kinds of food, perishable or non-perishable.

The church is also in need of a moving truck. The sponsor will have his or her name on the truck to show the community who is helping support the outreach program.

The church delivers meals to the people on the streets from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. each Saturday and serves meals at 7:45 a.m. and at noon each Sunday at the church.
