New divinity school trustee
The Brite Divinity School board of trustees has named Odessan Cal Hendrick as a new trustee. He is a fifth-generation member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). His great-grandparents were pioneer and charter members of First Christian Church, Odessa and First Christian Church, Pecos.
Hendrick, a partner of the Shafer, Davis, O'Leary & Stoker law firm, brings expertise in insurance law, oilfield litigation, public entity law and product liability. He has been recognized in Who's Who in American Law - Marquez, Who's Who in American Law - National Registry and Strathmore's Who's Who.
He is president of the local Court Appointed Special Advocate association, vice president of the Parker House Ranching Museum and a board member of the Samaritan Counseling Center.
