SR Academic Center for excellence
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Kathy Stein, director of the SR Academic Center for excellence, Jane Farley, teacher at Alpine Christian School, and Pam Gaddis, examiner from the Sul Ross Testing Center, addressed community adult literacy needs and the potential for offering free GED and Pre-GED classes in Alpine. The GED is an alternative high school diploma for adults beyond high school age. The Alpine Woman's Club committee is working on grant proposals with Sul Ross, Midland College and Work Force Solutions to make these courses a reality.
