It ended up being a rough trip for an EZ Rider bus on University Boulevard west of JBS Parkway early Wednesday afternoon when it collided with a 1995 Ford F-250.

The 19-seat bus driven by Owen Wagner lost its door and had its stairwell smashed in after it collided in a left turn lane on University Boulevard with a 1995 Ford F-250 driven by Joe Hensley of Odessa. No one was injured in the accident.

There were no passengers riding the bus when it crashed, EZ Rider Director of Operations Darlena Collins said.

Odessa Police Cpl. Terry Mercer said both the bus and the F-250 were westbound on University Avenue and both attempted a left turn near the 7-Eleven.

Neither driver saw each other and the driver's side of the F-250 collided with the passenger's side of the bus. Streaks were seen from the inner westbound lane into the center lane, where the bus and the front of the truck were after the crash.

No citations were made in the accident.
