Spectators watch from Illinois Avenue and Loraine Street as the Midland Savings Building, 300 W. Wall St., in downtown Midland begins to fall after explosions from dynamite within the building broke down the structures support.

The 14-story building, built in 1958, was originally a savings building and over the years housed many oil companies as well as a cafeteria.
