AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
>> A salesman at Big 5 Sporting Goods, 3875 E. 42nd St., reported a known person tried to assault him with a weapon at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
AGGRAVATED ROBBERY
>> An Odessa man reported someone entered his apartment, assaulted him with a handgun and took $600 in cash between 2 a.m. and 2:40 a.m. Thursday in the 4300 block of Esmond Drive.
CREDIT CARD ABUSE
>> A 40-year-old Odessa man was arrested and charged with credit card abuse between 8:35 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of East 11th Street after police reported he was found with a credit card taken from an Odessa woman.
Adam D. Jaquez, 1212 W. 22nd St., was being held Thursday at the Ector County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
>> An Odessa man reported someone used his credit card between July 26 and Aug. 19 at an unknown location.
BURGLARY OF A BUILDING
>> Forrest Oil, 1101 E. Pool Road, reported someone entered a building, caused a total of $975 in damages to a rear door, window, credenza and briefcase, then took a computer worth $1,500 between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
BURGLARY OF A HABITATION
>> An Odessa man reported someone entered his apartment and took a TV, video gaming system and a video game worth a total of $2,150 between 8 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 3700 block of Andrews Highway.
>> An Odessa man reported someone he knew caused $170 in damage to a door, entered his home and tried to assault him between 11 p.m. and 11:12 p.m. Wednesday in the 2000 block of West Ninth Street.
>> An Odessa man reported someone entered his home and took an air conditioner, computer and checkbook worth a total of $950, along with $20 in cash between midnight and 5 p.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of West Third Street.
>> An Odessa woman reported a family member entered her home, shoved her to the ground and punched her in the stomach on Tuesday in the 2200 block of Westwood Drive. She was taken by a private vehicle to Medical Center Hospital, but no visible injuries were noted.
>> An Odessa woman reported someone caused $100 in damage to a door frame, entered her house and took two TVs, a case and a nine-piece surround sound system worth a total of $4,430 between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Snyder Street.
FORGERY
>> An Odessa woman reported someone signed and cashed her checks between June 24 and July 16 at First Convenience Bank, 2450 N.W. Loop 338.
ROBBERY
>> An Odessa man reported three men assaulted him and took his backpack and clothing worth a total of $120 between 11 p.m. and 11:24 p.m. Wednesday in the 2000 block of East Eighth Street.
