Police find body

Carl Rogers, the chief investigator with the Ector County Medical Examiner's Office, said Monday that a body found Monday has been sent to Tarrant County for an autopsy.

Odessa police Sgt. Amy Van Veen said patrol officers found the body early Monday in the west alley of Eighth Street and Echo Street near Albertson's.

The body was identified as 47-year-old Willard Charles Watts. Watts appeared to be living a transient lifestyle, Van Veen said.

Police said the cause of death was not immediately known.
