OC board schedules meeting

The Odessa College board of trustees are expected to have an informational meeting on Tuesday.

Board members are scheduled to hear presentations on financial, education, committee and instructional-effectiveness reports.

The meeting was originally scheduled for Jan. 24, but was rescheduled due to a time conflict had by President Gregory Williams.

Williams will give presidential reports on several items, including; meningitis vaccine requirement, classroom visits at New Tech Odessa, new management certificate program and cosmetology.

The board will also consider:

>> Monthly statements and budget amendments.

>> Quarterly investment reports.

>> Appoint representation to Globe Board for 2012.

>> Approve a congratulatory resolution for the induction of J. E. Pressley in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Hall of Fame.

>> Property committee will consider market value on nearby foreclosed properties.

>> Allow alcohol consumption for selected functions.
